Documentation
FireSiteChat answers questions using only a chosen website's own content, and shows you the pages it used.
Getting started
- Add a website. Open the app and type an address into Websites. You do not need to own it.
- Wait for it to be read. We crawl the site and index its pages in the background. You can start asking straight away; answers get better and cheaper once indexing finishes.
- Ask. Every answer is drawn from that site's pages, and lists the ones it used.
How an answer is made
A research agent searches the site's indexed content and reads the pages it needs. On the Verified engine a second agent then re-checks the draft against those pages and sends it back if it does not hold up. Nothing is presented as checked unless that check ran.
| Label | What it means |
|---|---|
| Verified | A second agent confirmed the answer traces to the site's own pages. |
| Fast | One pass, no independent check. Quicker and cheaper, and labelled unverified rather than dressed up. |
| Could not fully verify | The check ran and was not satisfied. The answer is shown anyway, flagged. |
| Outside this site's scope | The site does not cover it. We would rather say that than invent an answer. |
Ways to use it
Credits
Answers cost AI credits, drawn from your personal allowance or from a website's plan if its
owner has one. What you see is always an estimate - the real cost of an answer is not known
until it has been written, so we show a percentage remaining rather than a number of questions
left. Your balance is on your profile; the API returns it from
GET /api/v1/usage.
Privacy
You can chat without an account. Signed in, your conversations are saved so you can come back to them, and you can export or delete everything from Profile & settings. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
